Toastmasters International is a worldwide organization devoted to developing and improving effective oral communication and leadership skills. The Federal Center Toastmasters Club, a local club affiliated with Toastmasters International, provides a supportive and positive learning environment in which every member has the opportunity to have fun, develop communication and leadership skills, meet new people, network, and foster self-confidence and personal growth. Through Toastmasters you will learn to overcome initial nervousness speaking before an audience and to organize and present your ideas logically and convincingly.
Our meetings cover all kinds of interesting topics. For example, you may learn all about exotic locations, different cultures, life experiences, history, famous people, and even chocolate. Its always a lot of fun!!
You are welcome to visit us as many times as you like as a guest. Guests will not be called upon to speak. If you would like to learn more about our club, please feel free to speak to any club member or officer. We will be happy to answer your questions. We welcome all guests, especially those with no prior public speaking experience.
